The Niagara County Builders Association's
fall Parade of Homes is back and better than ever, as seven of Niagara County's finest builders
combine talent and experience to showcase nine of their custom homes in
the towns of Wheatfield and Lockport. This year's show is free to the public
and is Western New York's first multiple-site show, allowing visitors
to sample several upscale neighborhoods in various picturesque settings throughout Niagara county.
Participating builders
are Sil Barone Homes, Mordeno Construction Co., David Homes, Ryan Homes, Prestige Designs, Eddy & Lewin Homes,
and Rosal Construction Co. All of the homes in this year's show are ENERGY STAR® Labeled Homes, which feature improved insulation, ventilation,
heating, cooling and appliances and are 30% more energy efficient than conventionally built new homes.
Major sponsors for the
Parade of Homes 2003 are Countrywide Home Loans, 84 Lumber, National Fuel, NYSERDA/ENERGY STAR®, and the NCBA.
National Fuel will provide displays during the show of the latest natural gas
products available, as each of the nine homes in the show feature natural
gas heating.
The ninth annual Parade
of Homes is open to the public on three big weekends beginning in September: Sept. 20th-21st, 27th-28th,
and Oct. 4th-5th. The homes are open from noon to 5 p.m. each day of the
show. With no admission charges, attendees are free to view the homes at
their leisure and are not forced to rush through all the homes in one day or
even one weekend. Parade of Homes magazines jam-packed full of useful
information will be available at various sites before the show starts and
at every house during the show. These high-quality magazines will contain a
map of all of the home locations, full color photos and descriptions of each
house in the show, floor plans, profiles of all seven builders, and lots of
information and ideas for homeowners and prospective home buyers.
All who attend will have
a chance to win prizes including gift certificates to Orville's Appliances. Look for the handy registration blanks and deposit boxes at each house; the more homes you visit,
the more chances you have to be a winner. If you are in the market to
buy or build a new home, or if you just need some fresh ideas for decorating
or remodeling your own home, the Parade of Homes 2003 is the home show to
see. For further information on the Parade of Homes, see the Buffalo
News Home Finder and Niagara Frontier Publications' four weekly papers.
