Next Meeting 

Prime Cell Windows This Month

This month's program was arranged by 1st Vice-President, Stanley Swogier (Swogier Construction) and one of our newest members McLean Thomas Inc. represented by their Sales Representative, Kevin Chodkowski. Attending the meeting will be Tim Gilliard and Kevin Lloyd from MI Home Products who will demonstrated Prime Cell New Construction Windows, which are a cellular composite window. McLean Thomas is a locally owned company located at 266 Broadway in Buffalo and has been in business over 60 years. As mentioned above, MI Home Products will provide cocktails for our members between the Board and General meetings. As always, reservations continue to be extremely important to assure proper seating arrangements and food preparation. Please call or fax your reservations to Jim or Jenny at the Builders Office at the number shown above by Friday, April 4th.

Special Training Program

Do you want to stay ahead of the competition? Then you should take the Building Analyst I (Auditor) Training being offered in the Buffalo area in April. Martin Bakowski will be the instructor at the Maryvale Education Center in Cheektowaga. The cost is $875. However, NYSERDA will reimburse you 75% (your net cost $219) providing you complete the course. Wheatfield Meeting

Are you interested in helping to plan the future of Wheatfield? Then you should attend the public information meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM, April 8, 2003 at the Wheatfield Community Center. Included will be commercial and industrial development, residential growth, agricultural preservation, as well as many other topics.

Atlantic Builders Convention, April 2-4, 2003

Are you going to the ABC Show in Atlantic City? If you are, be sure to attend NYSBA party on April 3rd. It will be held in Phil LaRocque's suite at Caesar's Ocean Towers from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Membership

We have included another membership application form with your newsletter this month. You will recall we have agreed to accept applications at $350 ($50 savings) if they were received by April 30th.

Reminder - National Membership Day this year is Monday, May 5th, which is about 2 1/2 months earlier than in prior years. Let's do our utmost to submit a substantial number of applications to NAHB this year and get some nice prizes. It takes 3 new members to get a 2003 Masters of Membership Golf Windshirt. So let's get going and do it!!!

Golf Tournament

Have you got your foursome together yet? As advised last month, our 6th annual tournament will be held at Willowbrook in Lockport on July 16, 2003. We are hoping to have 72 players (18 foursomes) so we can have a shotgun start. We will also need tee and hole sponsors. President Jim Kuryak is Chairman again this year and Bob Minkiewicz (84 Lumber) will be Co-Chairman. Executive Officer Jim Fitz-Patrick will be collecting the golf and sponsor fees as in the past years.

Picnic

Four weeks after our golf tournament, we will have our annual picnic. Chairman Larry Quigliano is looking for your suggestions because we are considering a new location and a different food assortment this year. Call now and give some input!

Home Show

Enclosed with this month's bulletin was information on our fall on-site home show, and the minutes of the last home show meeting giving you a lot of additional information about the show. The next Home Show meeting is Tuesday, April 8th beginning at 9 AM at JT Wheatfield's Restaurant.
