Our program this month should be interesting to all of our builders and remodelers. Program Chairman Larry Quigliano with the assistance of Bob Minkiewicz of 84 Lumber has worked out a program through Reeb Millwork. Reeb's representative Bob Brooks will tell us everything about Peachtree Windows and Therma-Tru Doors. In addition Reeb will host cocktails between the Board Meeting and the regular meeting. Reservations continue to be most important to assure proper seating arrangements and food preparation. If you are coming to the meetings but will not be eating, please do NOT make a reservation. Final time to make your reservations is Monday, October 6th at noon. Please call Jim or Jenny at the Builders Office (283-0557) to make your reservation or fax us at 283-0733.

Parade of Homes 2003

This year's home show, which is our first scattered-site show, has been a great success according to reports we have received. We have nine homes built by seven of our builders on various loactions in Wheatfield and the Town of Lockport. The show has one more weekend to run (October 4-5). Be sure to attend the show and support your association. There is no cost to attend and I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

November Meeting

Did you ever wonder where your annual dues go? At the November meeting you can have an explanation of where approximately 1/3 of your dues go. Our guest in November will be Philip LaRocque, the Executive Vice President of the New York State Builders Association. Philip will explain the working of the State Association and how they relate to the NAHB. So plan now to attend the meeting on November 12th at JT Wheatfield's. Election of Officers and Board Members will also take place at this meeting.

Elections

Speaking of the November elections, we are looking for members to run for the Board of Directors and eventually serve as officers of the association. President Jim Kuryak will shortly meet with the nominating committee to secure candidates. If you are interested in helping to run your association for the next year or two, please call President Jim Kuryak at 684-6000 or Executive Officer Jim Fitz-Patrick at 283-0557 as soon as possible. This year we will be electing a President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, State Director, National Director, Remodeling Council Chairman as well as 4 members for the Board of Directors.

See you on the 8th!
